Enmas is excited to offer a full-time, permanent position as an Environmental Monitor in our Calgary, Alberta office, joining our expanding Environmental team.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a dynamic individual to collaborate with our field and project management teams, supporting the expansion of our monitoring services. This role presents a great opportunity for career development within a professional environment.
The position involves a mix of fieldwork (70%), which includes travel and remote assignments, and in-office tasks (30%).
At times, you may work independently for extended periods while following all necessary safety protocols.
As an Environmental Monitor, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting environmental site monitoring and compliance inspections
- Performing wildlife and habitat assessments
- Executing field surveys and data collection
- Monitoring water, soil, and air quality as required
- Reporting on environmental impacts and mitigation measures
- Ensuring adherence to environmental standards and regulations
- Collaborating with on-site client representatives and contractors
- Assisting Project Managers in preparing regulatory documentation
- Supporting additional team responsibilities to drive project success
Skills and Qualifications We Seek:
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Adaptability to varied field and office environments
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with AER OneStop system (an asset)
- Understanding of Sensitive Species Inventory Guidelines
- Knowledge of Public Land Act regulations (an asset)
- Proficiency in environmental legislation at local, provincial, and federal levels (an asset)
- Experience in environmental monitoring, wildlife assessments, and data reporting
- Eligibility for Alberta’s Professional Regulatory Organizations
- Willingness to learn and grow in the role
- Effective communication skills to accurately convey field findings
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Valid driver’s license
